Golden Tigers Announce Tentative Rosters

Senior Zach Bumbarger will attend Shippensburg University and intends to play for the Raiders Ice Hockey Club.  Best wishes to Zach in his studies and ice hockey.

Varsity Bows to LV

  2/22/09 -  The Varsity Golden Tigers were unable to break the 1st round playoff jinx as they were sent to the sidelines by the Ligonier Valley Mounties by a 7-2 count at Center Ice in Delmont, PA.

The Mounties were able to build an early five goal lead from which the Golden Tigers were not able to recover.

It should be noted that the Golden Tigers have never missed the playoffs in the history of the program and are to be congratulated on such an accomplishment.

The game was the final game in a Golden Tigers sweater for Seniors Michael Pacifico, Zach Bumbarger, and Chris Matish.  The Hollidaysburg Golden Tiger nation thanks these fine young men for their contributions to the continued success of the Golden Tiger hockey program.  You represented yourselves, your schools, and the Golden Tiger ice hockey program in exemplary fashion and you are to be commended.

The future looks bright for the Golden Tigers as they have some very fine young talent coming up to try to fill the big shoes this year's seniors leave behind.  Before we all know it, it will time to lace them up and begin another run at the playoffs.

Best Wishes once again to our Seniors.  May success follow you for the rest of your days.

 

  

Junior Tigers Fall to Quaker Valley

3/16/09 - The Freshman Golden Tigers were eliminated 4-3 by Quaker Valley in Quarterfinal PIHL action at the Ice Castle in Castle Shannon.  Game details are not yet available but will be posted as soon as possible.  The Junior Golden Tigers finished the season 15-2-0.  Congratulations to the players, coaches and parents for an outstanding season.

2006 Alumni Brandon Jones has recently been deployed to Iraq as part of an aviation support unit.

Please keep Brandon and his family in your thoughts and prayers as he executes the oath he took to defend our country against all enemies foreign and domestic.
